Description
O acervo de opiliões apresenta pouco menos de 1000 espécimes em cerca de 500 lotes, sendo 1 holótipo. Todo material encontra-se acondicionado em álcool a 80%, em ambiente com umidade controlada, sistema antincêndio e apoio técnico. A maioria dos espécimes são provenientes de coletas no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, em especial do Centro de Pesquisas e Conservação da Natureza Pró-Mata. Este acervo é parte da Coleção de Arachnida e Myriapoda do MCTP, que abriga representantes de outras ordens de Arachnida (e.i. Araneae, Scorpiones, Acari, Pseudoscorpiones, Uropygi, Amblypygi, Solifugae e Ricinulei), além de indivíduos de Myriapoda.
