Description
Os cerca de mil exemplares de escorpiões deste acervo estão organizados em pouco mais de 800 lotes, dos quais três (3) são holótipos de Chactidae. Todo material encontra-se acondicionado em álcool a 80%, em ambiente com umidade controlada, sistema antincêndio e apoio técnico. A maioria dos espécimes são provenientes de coletas na região sul, com alguns representantes das demais regiões do país. Este acervo é parte da Coleção de Arachnida e Myriapoda do MCTP, que abriga representantes de outras ordens de Arachnida (e.i. Araneae, Opiliones, Acari, Pseudoscorpiones, Uropygi, Amblypygi, Solifugae e Ricinulei), além de indivíduos de Myriapoda.
