Description
A coleção contém cerca de 80.000 exemplares (organizados em aproximadamente 5300 lotes), principalmente de água doce. Os exemplares são provenientes principalmente de setores muito pouco coletados da Floresta Costeira Atlântica do leste do Brasil; bacia do rio São Francisco; bacia do rio Pardo, nas imediações de Ribeirão Preto, SP; da ASPE-SEMA do CEBIMar-USP, localizada à margem continental do Canal de São Sebastião, SP; e de riachos das bacias do São José dos Dourados, Baixo Tietê, Aguapeí e Peixe, todas do sistema do Alto rio Paraná, no Estado de São Paulo. Também exemplares do rio Jequitinhonha, rio Aripuanã e rio Tapajós. A coleção também mantém tipos. A coleção está completamente informatizada, inclusive os registros de "Invoice" (entrada e saída de material emprestado e doações).
