Description
O Herbário IRATI (antigo HUCO) iniciou suas atividades em 10 de junho de 2002, como Projeto de Extensão Institucional. Está lotado no Departamento de Engenharia Florestal da Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste (UNICENTRO), campus Irati/PR, Laboratório de Conservação da Natureza, desde 2008. O Herbário IRATI mantém um acervo com predomínio de representantes de Floresta Ombrófila Mista, Densa e Estacional e de campo cerrado. Possui uma coleção composta por 115 famílias, 483 gêneros e 925 espécies, mantendo uma política de intercâmbio com programas de permuta e empréstimos.
